Asseco is going to implement an IT system for the management of human resources at Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego. The Bank will use the solution in the Software as a Service (SaaS) model. Such an extensive and technologically advanced HR and payroll application will be implemented as a service for the first time in Poland.
Asseco will be responsible for implementing and providing comprehensive IT services in order to support the HR and payroll functions at Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (BGK). The system will be available through a web browser. It will enable the standardization of HR and payroll process, support a high volume of employee records and payroll data, and furthermore provide the ability of self-service for all employees of BGK. Asseco will be also required to maintain the hardware infrastructure, while adhering to the highest standards of security and accessibility.
“In the Polish market, it is a pioneer implementation of one of the most advanced HR solutions provided in the Software as a Service model. All the required services will be rendered by Asseco based on the Oracle eBS HRMS application and using our own Data Processing Center,” said Jakub Madej, Department Director at the Enterprises Division, Asseco Poland. “This project is also a signal for us that the financial sector starts to notice numerous benefits that are associated with the SaaS model and is increasingly interested in such implementations,” he added.
“Having purchased this solution in the SaaS model, our Bank will not incur additional expenditures for IT infrastructure or development of specialized competence,” said Małgorzata Korsakowska-Słowik, Director of the Human Resources Department at Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego. “In addition, we have gained access to highly advanced software and its updates. Asseco will be also responsible for the system maintenance and ensuring its continuing operation,” she added.
Once the implementation phase is completed, the Bank’s activities will be supported with a stable and centralized system, allowing to bring new quality in managing 1300 of its employees. That is why a short implementation time is a priority. Asseco is going to launch the system within just 3 months, whereas the whole project will last 4 years.
